Sign a PDF and add a stamp

Contracts and application forms often need a signature before you send them back, and you can add it on screen instead of printing, signing and scanning. Click Create Seal/Sign in the toolbar and two tabs open. On Make Signature, draw with a mouse or finger and pick black, red or blue ink. On Make Seal, type up to four characters and choose a round, oval, square or rounded frame to get a red stamp. The background is transparent, so text underneath still shows through.

How to use

  1. Open your PDF file.
  2. Click Create Seal/Sign in the toolbar, then draw your signature on the Make Signature tab or set up a stamp on the Make Seal tab. If the stroke goes wrong, click Clear and draw again.
  3. Click Insert to PDF. It appears in the middle of the view; drag it onto the signature line and pull a corner to resize it.
  4. Save with Download PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put the same signature on several pages?
Click the signature to select it, copy it with Ctrl+C (⌘+C on Mac), go to another page and paste with Ctrl+V. Handy for contracts that need a signature on every page.
Can I add a name or company stamp?
Yes. On the Make Seal tab, type up to four characters, pick a frame shape and a font, and a red stamp is drawn. Turn on Vintage Effect for an uneven, inked look.
Is it safe to open personal documents like contracts?
All editing happens inside the browser you are using now, and the file is handled only on this computer.
How do I save a signed contract to send to a client?
Editing and signing are free. A free save adds a light watermark on the page background and footer. For documents you send to clients or official offices, choose the paid clean save in the window that opens when you save. Plans are listed on the Pricing page.
