Add text and images to a PDF
Use it to write your name in a blank on a form or put a company logo in the corner of a document. Click Add Text, then click the spot on the page where the text should go, and a cursor appears right there. Press Enter or click outside when you are done; a box you left empty disappears on its own.
How to use
- Open your PDF file.
- Click Add Text, then click the spot on the page where you want the text. Type right there, and press Enter or Esc, or click outside, to finish.
- To add a picture, click Add Image and choose a file. Drag it to move it, and drag a corner to resize it.
- Once everything is in place, save with Download PDF.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I type several lines?
- Each text box holds one line. Pressing Enter finishes typing, so for the next line use Add Text again and place a new box just below.
- How do I edit text I already added, or change its size and color?
- Double-click a text box to edit it in place. Click it once to select it and a bar appears: pick 12 to 72 pt under Size, or change the text color under Color. New text starts at 16 pt.
- What kinds of images can I add?
- Any picture file your browser can open, such as JPG or PNG. It goes in at its original resolution, and a PNG logo with a transparent background stays transparent. Hold Shift while dragging a corner to keep the proportions.
- Does saving cost anything?
- Adding text and images is free. A free save adds a light watermark. For documents you need to submit without a watermark, choose the paid clean save in the window that opens when you save. Plans are listed on the Pricing page.
